in his work as painter, designer and curator martin müller is ranging as a floating border crosser between the disciplines. the transitions are vibrant diaphanous, but every medium has it`s own language and artistic expression to melt together again in a conceptual unity in the work.

steeped by spiritual relations, unexpected superimpositions and transforming humuor complexe tension spaces between gestural contact and poetic discharge get created. not rarely martin müller´s art is based on found footage photography which is painted monochrome in countless colour grades as picture in picture or realized as a fine art print on canvas, which is overlaid again by „realistic“ quotations. the latter method is leaving the photo-graphic element as „reality“ on the „reality“ of the reproduced photography equal next to the expressive gesture and linguistic notations, without painting these layers correlating to each other.

the layers are creating an independent interlaced level and stay disparate, distinct, ambiguous and open. oscillating to each other. these methods create visual and mental spaces in a way only the viewer can fill. every time anew.
